Beginning Adobe Photoshop CS/CC Editing

There are four sessions in this series.  Choose the number of hours you would like for your sessions to be when registering.  Two hours per session are recommended.  This is beginning level Adobe Photoshop CS/CC and is intended to take you from new or almost new to a basic proficiency in the most important areas of Photoshop CS/CC

The sessions include:

 

SESSION 1 - THE BRIDGE: Uploading, organizing, and managing your photos

SESSION 2 - RAW FILE PLUG-IN:  Prepping your RAW files for opening in Photoshop

SESSION 3 - BASIC TOOLS IN PHOTOSHOP: exploring the PS layout, and using some tools in the tool palette

SESSION 4 - ADDING A LAYER IN PHOTOSHOP:  Introducing layers, resizing images, duplicating, cropping, and saving out in different file types for print, web, etc.

 

If you're newer to Photoshop CS/CC, these sessions will give you a solid foundation for your creative
endeavors!

TO BRING:  Laptop with Photoshop CC, PS BRIDGE, something to take notes with/on.

EQUIPMENT: DSLR camera, a full battery, empty memory card, pen/paper, COMPUTER WITH PS CC/BRIDGE CC

Beginning Adobe Lightroom Editing

There are four sessions in this series.  Choose the number of hours you would like for your sessions to be when registering.  One hour per session is recommended.  This is beginning level Adobe Lightroom and is intended to take you from new or almost new to a basic proficiency in the most important modules of Lightroom.  The sessions include:

 

1.  The Library Module, including file types and imports (RAW, JPG), cropping, resizing, keywording, labeling, and setting up a good file workflow.

2.  The Develop Module - filters and effects menu palettes, brushes, pre-sets

3.  The Print and Web Modules - understanding how to organize and prep your files for printing and displaying on the internet

4.  The Book Module - creating a book of your favorite images (bring your images to put together in book form)

 

If you're new to Lightroom, these sessions will give you a solid foundation for your creative
endeavors!

 

TO BRING:  Laptop with a current copy of ADOBE LIGTHROOM, something to take notes with/on.

Editing Concepts with Your Software

This is an opportunity for you to learn how to use the editing software you currently have, and explore options for other software platforms that may address your creative interests more effectively.  You may schedule as many hours as you'd like in one or ongoing sessions. 

 

Minimum two hours.

 

TO BRING:  Laptop with a current copy of your software program and something to take notes with/on.
